Explorer II Ultrasonic Workstation

The Explorer II Ultrasonic Workstation is a rugged stand alone flaw detector with a large (10.4") TFT built-in display. The ability to configure as a high- or low-frequency spike pulser instrument with high power toneburst (as an option) and act as a high-speed controller and data acquisition system for B- and C-scan recording sets the Explorer II apart from standard flaw detectors.

Control and Data Acquisition

Matec's MUIS32 software is as fast or faster than comparable DOS-based systems. Our software is both modular and expandable design for future upgrades with the ability to do both B- and C-scans. Post analysis such as zoom, click on flaw and palette editing are standard options.

Instrument Configurations
(selectable individually or in any combination)

Standard Flaw Detector
High Frequency
Tone Burst
All the options necessary to perform ultrasonic Thickness and flaw detection.   The ultimate immersion ultrasonic instrument when high-resolution, DAC and back echo attenuation are required.

When penetration is necessary. Ideal for thru transmission applications. EMATS or velocity measurements for material characterization.
